Dig into Fiesta Fest this Saturday

If the Latino Food Festival Menudo and Pozole Cook-off didn't fully satiate your appetite for celebrating Hispanic cuisine, don't worry. Fiesta Fest is back.

In its second year, Saturday's 21-and-older event at Stramler Park will offer guests unlimited samples of food as well as limited spirits, beer and wine tastings.

Participating eateries include Blaze Pizza, Devorame Mexican Grill, Dimples Foods and Ice Cream, El Portal West, Fresco Meat Market, Fresco Mexican Grill, Golden Corral, Harrington House, Homies Tacos, Honey I'm Home, Jerry's Pizza & Pub, La Imperial Taqueria, Mas Bella Restaurant & Lounge, Mr. Clamato, Nov's Soul Spot and Sonder.

Entertainment will include a performance by La Marcha as well as music from DJ Wreck of Hot 94.1. There will also be a gaming area.

Attendees can bring their own lawn chairs or blankets to hang out at the event.

Admission is $60, which includes unlimited fiesta foods, beverages, spirits, beer and wine tastings. VIP passes ($75), which are still available, also include a separate front-gate entrance, private air-conditioned restrooms and access to the VIP area with a private beverage sampling with specialty drinks.

Tickets are available at eventbrite.com.

A portion of proceeds from the event will benefit the nonprofit AGM Community Partners and other local charities.

AGM Community Partners, in partnership with American General Media, produces a variety of events including the Mac & Cheese Fest, Brunch Fest, KidsFest and Bakersfield Fit Fest.
