Featuring the Maison’s signature Cannage quilt pattern and wide Oblique motif laces, the model comes in leather in monochromatic gray, beige as well as satin neon yellow, which is an online exclusive. The sneakers are also offered in tweed versions in gray, navy and white.
Each sneaker is designed with a thick, pillowy tongue and an accompanying heel cushion, though the branding details adorning the leather, satin and tweed versions vary slightly. The tweed shoes are stamped with Dior on the side and boast plain laces.
Like the B33 model released last summer, the B9S features embedded tech. Implanted in the right sole of every sneaker is a special chip that gives the purchaser access to a “digital product passport” providing an authentication certificate via a private platform. The exclusive technology also allows interested shoppers to receive an inside look at the shoe-making process, plus previews of upcoming sneaker drops from Kim Jones.
While there will only be 470 of the leather editions available, there will be 888 of the tweed. The shoes will officially be available to purchase online at dior.com on Feb. 7.
