It's officially a new season, and thus time to change your personal scent. And while French fragrance house Diptyque has crafted many of our perennial favorites for warmer weather (or reminders that the cold weather will eventually end), such as Philsykos, the perfumer is celebrating the 2019 Summer Solstice with a new seasonal drop: Essences Insensees Tiare Flower Eau de Parfum.

The new spritz was created as an homage to the Tahitian Tiare (aka the gardenia), taking its place in the cult-fave Essences Insensees Collection, which is a series of scents that are created annually to celebrate the centuries-old Mille-Fleurs tradition.

As for the notes: the fragrance is light and sunny, with hints of Tahitian Tiare Absolute, Frangipani, Vanilla Absolute, and Pink Peppercorn. It's warm, but not overpowering and sweet without being cloying. A delicate fragrance dance, if we do say so ourselves. Think of this eau as a summer escape, without the hassle of flying to an exotic locale.

But not only is this year's fragrance limited edition, it's also available in very limited quantities. Each scent in the Essences Incensees collection is dedicated to a specific, exceptional bloom each year, but it's also produced in extremely limited quantity. Just a few thousand bottles are made, and once it's gone, it's really gone.

Speaking of bottles, the this year's Essence Insensees is held in an sun-shaped bottle with an atomizer sourced from the archives of from Waltersperger, so every single time you spray yourself before you leave the house, you'll feel like Grace Kelly.
