'You disgusting human being': People react to Donald Trump calling sexual assault survivors 'elevator screamers'
Donald Trump took to Twitter on Friday to call sexual assault survivors protesting Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court “very rude elevator screamers,” and he suggested they are professionals paid by George Soros.
The president made his thoughts known about protesters who are imploring senators to vote against confirming Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh — like Ana Maria Archila and Maria Gallagher, the two women who confronted Sen. Flake in an elevator last week — claiming they are being paid to “make Senators look bad.”
The very rude elevator screamers are paid professionals only looking to make Senators look bad. Don’t fall for it! Also, look at all of the professionally made identical signs. Paid for by Soros and others. These are not signs made in the basement from love! #Troublemakers

Trump also called the sexual assault survivors “#Troublemakers.” Naturally, people are having strong reactions to Trump’s characterizations.
They aren’t paid. They are real victims you disgusting human being!

I hope you someday understand what it is to be held down against your will and violated. Your compassion is startless https://t.co/ujlTX8Wr9X

It must be terrifying to you to know that all of us women have minds of our own. No one pays me for my activism.

Sexual assault victims are not crisis actors they do not get paid! We’d be billionaires if we did! This coming from the man that pays supporters to attend his rallies! These women that accused you of sexual assault are not paid! Here they are to refresh your memory pic.twitter.com/yfH3PdHrk6

This is Trump again making it clear that unless you are part of his base you are the enemy.

Says the man who "stages" people behind him at rallies and removes the ones who are not buying his lies. #WorstPresidentEver #ResignNow

He has a point… make sure to look at all the professionally made identical signs. pic.twitter.com/dzJ25muDQt

The president followed up the tweet with a message about the current unemployment rate, to which somebody responded that the people he just attacked probably don’t care.
Women voters don't care about the unemployment rate when the President attacks sexual assault victims and claims they are paid actors.
