THE DISH: Farmer Boys' grand opening on tap

The new Farmer Boys on Merle Haggard Drive will offer some hot deals on Friday and Saturday to celebrate its grand opening.

Although this location opened in May, it will celebrate this weekend with special promotions.

Guests can choose from a breakfast burrito or Farmer burger for just $5.99 all day on both days.

The burger tops two patties of 100% USDA fire-grilled pure beef with thick hickory-smoked bacon, two slices of American cheese, hand-smashed Hass avocado, crisp lettuce, freshly sliced tomato, dill pickles, diced onion, and house-made Thousand Island dressing on a brioche bun.

For the burrito, diners can choose from hickory-smoked bacon, pork sausage, diced ham or scratch-made all-beef chili, which are wrapped up in a flour tortilla along with three cage-free scrambled eggs, American cheese, crispy hash browns and house-made salsa.

Each guest will also receive a scratcher with a chance at additional deals and freebies. Every scratcher offers some form of prize or discount.

Also on the menu are two new items: the BBQ Crunch Cheeseburger and iced coffee with vanilla cold foam.

The cheeseburger, which is available as a single or double, is topped with tangy barbecue sauce, house-made crispy onion straws, American cheese and pickles on a brioche bun.

The coffee, made with 100% sustainably sourced Arabica coffee beans, is chilled with fresh whole milk and topped with vanilla cold foam.

This BBQ Crunch Cheeseburger is also available in a burger box, served with Always Crispy Fries and a regular drink. The single burger box is $9.99 while the double is $11.99. Diners can upgrade their drink to a strawberry lemonade for an additional $1.39.

Farmer Boys, located at 35104 Merle Haggard Drive between Highways 99 and 65, is open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
