Dickey's Barbecue Pit (3505 Coffee Road) is offering a discount on orders made through its app or online at dickeys.com.

Diners can receive $5 off an online order of $20 or more with the coupon code LABORDAY5 at checkout.

Save $10 off an order of $50 or more with the coupon code LABORDAY10 at checkout.

Those ordering for a crowd with a $100-plus total should use code LABORDAY20 to save $20.

These discounts are valid on pre-tax totals of a qualifying amount and cannot be stacked or multiplied. This offer runs through Sept. 8.

El Pollo Loco (multiple locations) is carrying the burden for Loco Rewards members by offering $8.99 fire-grilled chicken burritos, a 12-piece leg and thigh family meal for $30 and two free cinnamon churros with any order.

The offers, valid only for rewards members, are good through Monday.

Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers (2649 Calloway Drive) is offering $5 off your order of $15 or more for those with the Freddy's app.

Existing app users can redeem by ordering online, through the app or scanning the reward at the register.

KFC (multiple locations) has a number of specials available at kfc.com or in the KFC app, including a 40-piece saucy nuggets party pack (your choice of four flavors) for $19.99, 50% off chicken sandwiches (classic, spicy or saucy, and 40% off a 12-piece chicken on the bone bucket (choice of the all-dark meat drum and thigh bucket or the variety bucket, with three drums, three thighs, three breasts and three wings).

Krispy Kreme (9410 Rosedale Highway) is offering customers a dozen original glazed doughnuts for $2 with the purchase of any dozen doughnuts at regular price now through Monday.

Pieology is offering its Pies & Perks members two free perks with the purchase of any craft-your-own salad, calzone or pizza.

Pie Life Rewards members can unlock Pies & Perks status for all of 2024 by purchasing a craft-your-own salad, calzone or pizza between Aug. 31 and Sept. 2.

Pies & Perks members also receive a daily perk of their choice: side salad, fresh-baked cookie, or nonalcoholic beverage.

Checkers (3009 Calloway Drive) has a new 5 for $5 meal deal that includes your choice of a cheese double burger or spicy chicken sandwich, eight chicken bites, small order of seasoned fries, 16-ounce soft drink and an apple pie. The cheese double burger or spicy chicken sandwich will be part of the deal through Sept. 11.

New and tasty

In an "epic collaboration," Del Taco has teamed up with Trejo's Tacos to offer roasted pork al pastor at stores nationwide.

This fire-roasted pork, marinated with chipotle, onions, garlic and pineapple juice, in four dishes:

Al pastor street taco (two for $4.99), tender marinated pork topped with diced pineapple, fresh diced onions, cilantro and tangy green sauce in a warm corn tortilla;

Al pastor loaded fries, crinkle-cut fries topped with pork, diced pineapple, fresh house-grated cheddar cheese, diced onions, green sauce, fresh house-made guacamole and chopped cilantro;

Al pastor epic burrito, the fan-favorite dish is loaded with pork, slow-cooked beans, cilantro lime rice, house-made guacamole and pico de gallo, wrapped in a warm, oversized flour tortilla; and

Al pastor cheddar quesadilla, with pork, house-grated cheddar cheese, green sauce and diced pineapple folded into a flour tortilla and flat-grilled to perfection.

Mountain Mike's Pizza is thinking globally with its culinary Taste for Adventure. The limited-time menu rollout includes three new wing varieties: sticky Kogi, kickin' Korean barbecue and zesty aloha. Available September 2 through November 30 at all Mountain Mike's locations nationwide, the new wings will be joined by additional Taste for Adventure menu items this fall.

While the pizza chain currently serves Frank's RedHot Buffalo, KC Masterpiece BBQ and stingin' honey wings, these new wings tap into global-inspired ingredients. Sticky Kogi features a base of gochujang and soy sauce.The fusion of smoky and savory flavors for the Korean barbecue add deep umami and a hint of sweetness. Authentic sweet chili peppers with garlic offer the perfect balance of sweet and tangy for the Polynesian-inspired zesty aloha.

WaBa Grill has expanded its Asian-inspired menu with a refreshing Thai tea.

Inspired by the beloved Southeast Asian beverage, WaBa's version combines lightly sweetened black tea and creamy 2% milk that is served over ice.

"Our new Thai Tea offers guests a delicious, boldly flavored beverage that strikes the perfect balance between health and indulgence, and serves as an excellent complement to their favorite WaBa bowl, plate, taco trio or salad," Andrew Kim, WaBa Grill's president and CEO, said in a news release.
