Disney wants fans to know that Deadpool and Mickey Mouse can definitely coexist.

Although the Merc with a Mouth might not seem like a friendly fit in the House of Mouse since he slices off heads at will with his katana blade and cracks lewd jokes, Disney made its position on Deadpool very clear at CinemaCon on Wednesday (April 3).

The studio's chairman Alan Horn was in the middle of his presentation in Las Vegas when he showed some of Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds' tweets poking fun at the Disney-Fox merger (via ComicBook).

Horn then assured those at CinemaCon: "You'll be seeing more of Deadpool in the years to come."

Disney's presentation also included a sizzle reel of all of its franchises, including X-Men for the first time. A shot of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine was intermixed with other new Fox properties gained in the merger.

This CinemaCon presentation was merely the latest melding of Disney and the X-Men universes.

Shortly after the merger was made official in March, Avengers: Endgame star Chris Hemsworth welcomed Ryan Reynolds to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with a mash-up of Thor and Deadpool on Instagram.

Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has also expressed his excitement for his team to get their hands on the "hundreds" of characters gained in the Fox buyout, including those from the X-Men and Fantastic Four families.

"The truth is I'm excited for all of them," he told MTV News. "And it's not just the marquee names, you know.

"There are hundreds of names on those agreements and the fact that Marvel is as close as we may ever get now to having access to all of the characters is something I've been dreaming about for my almost 20 years at Marvel. It's very exciting."

Disney's Avengers: Endgame will be released on Friday, April 26 in the US.
