Disney Is Selling A New Drink Inspired By Ursula From "The Little Mermaid" And It’ll Make You Feel Witchy
In case you haven't heard, Disney villains are getting their time to shine at the park right now. Disney World is currently hosting Villains After Hours, a celebration of all of the real bad guys from all your favorite Disney movies. Of course, the queen of Disney villains is Ursula from The Little Mermaid, so it makes sense that one of the most poppin' treats at the park right now pays her tribute.
The drink, which was reported on by POPSUGAR, is aptly named the "Poor Unfortunate Soul" and it's perfect for fans of soda floats with a twist. It's made with black raspberry soft serve and Cherry Coke, according to Disney Food Blog, but the first thing you'll notice about it? It's all sorts of purple in honor of Ursula herself. It's all topped off with a candy crown and some edible pearls as well so it makes for a pretty beautiful treat.
If purple isn't your thing, you can also apparently swap the black raspberry ice cream out for vanilla or chocolate soft serve, which might be a good thing, because DFB wasn't exactly a fan of the flavor combos in this treat. That said, Walt Disney World Net also gave this a try and really seemed to like it, so it's definitely worth it for the photo alone!
The treat will cost you $6.99 and can be found at Storybook Treats in Magic Kingdom. If ice cream isn't for you, the shop is also selling a "Body Language" mousse also inspired by the famous sea witch for the same price. It's made with cookies ’n cream mousse, chocolate cake, gla?age, and meringue tentacles garnished with a chocolate shell, so no surprise, it looks just like Ursula. It can be seen in WDWNT's photo above.
The villains event is going on until mid-July and after that? Well it's safe to say these treats will be going back under the sea...
