Disney Is Selling A Spooky Hocus Pocus Cupcake That Is Way Too Beautiful To Eat
Most people are ready for fall in general, but some of us are just DYING to get to Halloween. The spookiest holiday of all means carving pumpkins, eating candy, and watching classic Halloween films like Hocus Pocus. Although we might not be quite near October yet (I hear there is something called Labor Day still?) Disney World is offering a new treat that fans of the Sanderson Sisters are sure to love.
A very over-the-top Hocus Pocus-themed cupcake has been spotted in the Magic Kingdom and there's a lot going on with it, so let's break it down. First off, it's called the Amuck cupcake, according to photos from Walt Disney World News Today, which many will recognize as a reference to an iconic line in the movie.
Second off, this cupcake looks MASSIVE. It's a candy cupcake (think Funfetti) with peanut butter chips, chocolate candy bits, and toffee. The cupcake is then filled with caramel and iced with chocolate buttercream. Finally, it's topped with a chocolate cauldron and a decorative Sanderson Sisters emblem on top. Like I said—a lot going on.
Both Walt Disney World News and Instagrammer Wicked.Ears tried the cupcake and noted how e x t r a the black icing is. Seriously, there's a lot of icing on this thing. These Disney experts said to beware, as the spookiest thing about this cupcake is that the icing could stain your teeth and any light-colored clothing you're wearing.
That said, both also had pretty good reviews of the cupcake overall, saying that the flavors worked well together and that it was great for those of us with a sweet tooth.
This cupcake will cost you $7.99 and is available at Main Street Bakery in the Magic Kingdom at Disney World right now. Hurry up, though. This witch suspects it won't make it past Halloween.
