You have to see this neon green churro at Disneyland before it's too late
Fall is finally here, which means it’s time to put away the beach blankets and pull out those pumpkins! But it’s also exciting for another delicious reason: Disneyland’s trading in magic for mischief and rolling out its spookily scrumptious Halloween treats.
Lucky for us, we got an invite to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and tried some of their best ghoulish grub. And let’s just say, Disneyland has totally stepped up their foodie game. With only one week left in the Halloween season we‘ve got everything you need to know about which treats to try, and how Disney is proving that this fall, a dream is a wish your tart makes.
Mickey Bread With Fangs
You’ll want to sink your teeth into this adorable Mickey Mouse sourdough loaf. The bakers at Boudin Bakery at Disney California Adventure never disappoint (remember their unbelievable Groot bread?!). You might have trouble saying no to seconds, but you’ve gotta save some room.
Sour Apple Churro with Caramel Dipping Sauce
This next bite will have you shouting “Churr-oh yeah, baby!” At Disneyland, churros are always in season. But, during Halloween, Disney gives its churros a monstrously mouthwatering makeover. These sweet treats are available all over the park and come in multiple colors and flavors, including sour apple (our fave), Pumpkin Spice, Orange Sugar Candy Corn, and, wait for it: Purple Maleficent Cookie Crumble. Wanna take your churros to the next level? Then I’ve got two words for you: dipping sauces. You can’t go wrong with any of the choices, and we guarantee they’ll make these already tempting treats irresistible.
Mummy Croissant Doughnut
When it comes to doughnuts, Disneyland is not playing around. This piece of purple perfection combines two craveable classics into one amazing snack, perfectly packed with rich, ooey-gooey peanut butter and jelly. This treat is so big it requires two hands, and is perfect for sharing with friends.
Coco Conchita
Another can’t-miss confection can be found in the new Coco exhibit at California Adventure. The Coco Conchita is a brand-new addition for this year’s celebration, and we hope it’s here to stay! Dusted with orange sugar, filled with dulce de leche, and topped with a chocolate decoration of Coco‘s Miguel, this new dessert is truly to die for (Coco pun intended).
Oogie-Boogie Crispy Treat and Bat Cake Pop
Now if cakes, crispies, and candies are your thing, you’re in luck. Get your trick-or-treat bags ready for your favorite Disneyland candies, all dressed up for Halloween. You’ll find these sweets on Main Street at Disneyland and in the gift shops at Downtown Disney.
Mickey Mummy Macaroon
You may find yourself so wrapped up in all these treats you’ll forget to try Disney’s cookies and cream Mickey mummy macarons, but trust us, you’re gonna want to pick up a few.
These scarily scrumptious sweet treats are only available at the Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe and are 100% worth the entire trip to Disneyland. We promise they are as delicious as they are adorable.
Poison Apple-tini (21+)
At the end of a long day packed with tricks and treats, you may want to trade in those fears for cheers. And have we got the perfect solution! This Poison Apple-tini from the Hollywood Lounge in the California Adventure park will have all your friends buzzing with excitement. The deep red drink pays homage to Snow White and comes complete with poison apple glow cube. Make sure you try one of these (or two, we won’t judge) during the Halloween season.
