Doctor on New Year’s Eve: 'I’m dreading the bad news I have to give tonight to families who lose loved ones to drunk driving’
New Year’s Eve is considered one of the “deadliest days” of the year and one emergency room doctor has issued a warning to her followers to stay safe.
On Monday afternoon, Esther Choo, MD, MPH took to her Twitter to write that she’s “dreading the bad news I have to give tonight to families who lose loved ones to drunk driving.”

She went on to provide some resources such as Uber and Lyft in the case that people don’t have a designated sober driver. But the nearly 1,000 people to comment on the post also chimed in with some helpful information about AAA’s Holiday Safe Ride Program, and even urging parents to encourage their kids to call them to be picked up.
