How Does Broadway's Hottest Show Celebrate Tony Nominations?

Could you forgive us if we started singing, "Oh, what a beautiful evening..."?

When we first caught director Daniel Fish's revival of Oklahoma! last year at St. Ann's Warehouse in Brooklyn, we were absolutely floored. The production was smart, sophisticated, and-surprising for a show that first premiered in 1943-totally modern. So, when it opened on Broadway this year and became the season's biggest hit, we were thrilled but not surprised-and when the production went on to be nominated for eight Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical, we knew we had to celebrate.

On May 20, Town & Country's editor in chief Stellene Volandes and arts editor Adam Rathe hosted a cocktail party in honor of the cast and creative team of the show to celebrate its awards season sweep. The celebration was held at Le Jardinier, a stunning new Manhattan restaurant from Michelin-starred chef Alain Verzerioli and designed by architect Joseph Dirand. Guests including Oklahoma! stars Rebecca Naomi Jones, Patrick Vaill, Mary Testa, and Damon Daunno as well as admirers like William Ivey Long, Sophia Anne Caruso, Bee Carrozzini, Brandon Uranowitz, and Warren Elgort flocked to the restaurant to raise a glass and toast the success of one of Broadway's most famous shows and its thrilling new incarnation.
