Christine was Kody’s third wife. They married on March 25, 1994, and share six children: daughters Aspyn, Mykelti, Gwendlyn, Ysabel, Truely, and son Paedon. Robyn was Kody’s fourth wife and the first wife introduced to the family in more than a decade. They married in a spiritual ceremony on May 22, 2010 and share two children together: son Solomon and daughter Ariella.

Kody and Robyn married legally on December 11, 2014, so Kody could adopt Robyn’s children from her previous marriage: son Dayton and daughters Aurora and Breanna. Before Kody and Robyn’s marriage, Meri was the only wife who was legally married to Kody. Kody and Meri divorced on September 25, 2014, so Kody could legally marry Robyn.

Robyn is Kody’s last wife after his splits from Christine, Janelle, and Meri. Christine announced her split from Kody in November 2021; Janelle split from him in December 2022; and Meri left him in January 2023. With only Robyn left, Sister Wives fans can’t help but wonder whether Kody Brown will find a new wife and if there could be a fifth wife joining Sister Wives. Read on for what we know about those Kody Brown new wife rumors and if a fifth wife could be coming.

Does Kody Brown have a new wife?

Does Kody Brown have a new wife? The answer is no—at least not yet. In an interview with People in August 2023, Kody revealed that he would be open to “marrying again” with a new wife after his splits from his ex-wives Christine, Janelle, and Meri. “The idea of ever marrying again after the experience I’ve had, there’s no reason for me to do that,” he said. “I feel like I’ve hit the bottom of a deep swimming pool, but I’ve pushed off and am headed to the surface.”

Janelle, however, revealed in the Sister Wives: 1-on-1 special in December 2023 that Kody will ever remarry again with a fifth wife. “He’s now talking more and more about ‘as we move forward into monogamy’ [with Robyn]. I think that’s where he’s headed,” Janelle said, admitting that she doesn’t “foresee” Kody marrying a new wife. “I’ll bet you $1,000 right now,” Janelle said. “If he does, I will give you $1,000. Because I just don’t think it’ll ever happen.”

A source told In Touch Weekly in January 2023 that Kody was “definitely actively looking” for a new wife after his splits from Christine, Janelle, and Meri. “He’s a proud polygamist, that’s the lifestyle he’s accustomed to and in his mind,” the insider said, claiming that Kody wouldn’t be “happy” in a monogamous marriage to Robyn as his only wife. “Kody may not be a catch to the average, modern woman, but there are plenty of women in this community who would jump at the chance to be one of his wives.”

In August 2022, rumors swirled that Kody was eyeing a woman named Leah Marie Brown as his fifth and new wife. According to Distractify, Leah’s name was even briefly added to the Sister Wives Wikipedia page. However, those rumors were unfounded. There were also rumors that Kody spiritually married a woman named Bonnie Dwyer after he and Christine split. Though those rumors also didn’t seem to be true.

Are Kody and Robyn still together from Sister Wives?

Are Kody and Robyn still together from Sister Wives? The answer is yes. Kody Brown and Robyn Brown are still married as of writing this. Still, that doesn’t mean there aren’t issues in their marriage.

Robyn confirmed she and Kody were still together in an interview with People in December 2023, where she claimed that Kody’s breakups with her fellow sister wives—Christine, Janelle, and Meri—triggered a “huge upheaval” in Kody’s self-image. “Kody has been going through a lot and he’s dealt with a lot of frustration and anger and hurt and betrayal, and I’m going through my own emotions about all of it as well,” she said. “And it’s been hard on our relationship. It’s been really hard on our relationship because I think when you’re going through a divorce, you start questioning yourself.”

Robyn claimed that the splits have led Kody to adopt “very self-sabotaging” habits, including in his own relationship with Robyn. “I think he’s just been in such a dark place,” Robyn said. Kody, for his part, admitted that he’s been in a strange “space” since his splits from Meri, Christine, and Janelle. “Moving forward is still one of those things where you go through a divorce, you almost feel like God doesn’t exist, and you’re so angry, so bitter,” he said. “You need to let some sunshine back in. That’s the thing. I think we’re just in a transitionary point where I am letting sunshine back in.”

In an interview with People in August 2023, Robyn also described her relationship with Kody as “hell” amid his splits from Meri, Janelle, and Christine. “No one should be married while they’re going through a divorce,” Robyn said. “It’s been hell. There have been times he’s tried to self-sabotage and sabotage us. I’ve had to work hard not to let him.” She continued, “The commitment we made — we were all in this together. We screwed it up.”

Robyn also told People that she started seeing a therapist after Kody’s relationships ended with Meri, Christine, and Janelle. She also confirmed that she’s never considered leaving Kody, despite the issues in their marriage. “I never thought I wanted to leave. I know how much I love Kody,” she said. “He’s doing his best.”
