Dog Turns to a Blanket for Comfort After Adoption Event Where No One Wanted Him
This is just absolutely heartbreaking.
Darrell is a loving, 1-year-old Pit Bull boy who's looking for his forever home at Darlington Humane Society in South Carolina. He's captured the hearts of his rescuers, to say the least, but his heartbreaking reaction after not being chosen at an adoption event is gaining traction on TikTok, too. Commenters just adore the sweet rescue dog!
As he and his human friends head back to the shelter, Darrell snuggles into a blanket to soothe his nerves. The adorable way he comforts himself is simultaneously sweet and sad, but all we want is for this boy to go to his forever home--not back to the kennel!

Aww, Darrell! Our hearts practically shattered when we saw him snuggling into the blankets, but we can only imagine how his rescuers must be feeling. We know they want the best for him, too!

Luckily, it's looking like Darrell may be meeting his family sooner rather than later. @Cz_cvt wrote, "I'm calling tomorrow," while @themittz said, "just filled out an application for Darrell." We love that he has so many suitors!
@Themittz even gave us an update: "I spoke to the gentleman from the shelter they have applications for Darrell they are busy reviewing." That's fantastic news! We sure hope to see an official update from the shelter soon.
