Dolly Parton Roasts Miley Cyrus' Skills in the Kitchen
The country legend says she wouldn't eat much of anything her goddaughter makes because "it would have no taste."
Dolly Parton is a fan of goddaughter Miley Cyrus’ music, but she doesn’t feel the same about the singer’s cooking.
In an interview with Insider, Parton didn't mince words when chatting about Cyrus' ability in the kitchen.
“I doubt I’d eat much of anything that Miley cooks ‘cause it would have no taste,” joked Parton. “Even if she cooked me something, I’m sure I’d have to doctor it up a little for myself. I would have to have some bacon grease.”
But just because Parton doesn't love Cyrus’ dishes that doesn't mean the “Flowers” singer's cooking is inedible. It all boils down to their very different diets and culinary interests.
“Miley's trying to watch what she eats now—she's gone through a lot of phases of being vegetarian or being vegan or whatever,” said Parton. “But in the earlier days, or when her defenses are down, we still eat that good ol' food like meatloaf.”
Unlike Cyrus, Parton is a big fan of indulgent treats. She recently unveiled a new line of Duncan Hines baking mixes, including cornbread, biscuits, and brownies. Her partnership with the iconic brand began in 2022, and her products were such a hit that Duncan Hines wanted to expand the baking line.
“With Dolly’s partnership and incredible star power behind us, Duncan Hines and IMG launched one of the most successful new innovations in baking in 2022,” stated Audrey Ingersoll, Vice President of Sweet Treats at Conagra Brands. “We could not be more excited to continue to evolve this important partnership with the launch of four more baking mixes.”
In addition to creating delicious sweets for Duncan Hines, Parton also previously collaborated with Jeni’s Ice Cream on a Strawberry Pretzel Pie flavored ice cream.
