Trump retweets account calling him an 'awful, hateful human being'
President Trump may be a prolific tweeter — and fresh off a face-to-face meeting with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey last week — but he’s not immune from being fooled by other accounts.
Trump went on a retweeting spree early Wednesday morning, sharing messages of support from firefighters who said they’d vote for him over presidential candidate Joe Biden. But while one tweet’s review of Trump was glowing — “My husband a New York City firefighter for 15 years will be voting Trump 2020 all the way!!” — its handle was anything but.
It didn’t take long for users to notice that the Twitter account retweeted by POTUS is called “F**k Donald Trump.” What’s more, the account’s profile photo features Bernie Sanders’s 2020 logo.
How’d it get past the president? By mimicking the username of a pro-Trump Twitter account which POTUS has retweeted in the past. Trump-supporting “Glamourizes” (with an “l”) explained that the “GIamourizes” (with a capital “I”) account was an impostor who tricked the president into getting retweeted by posting positive messages before “bashing him.”
ever since i got a retweet from the president, this person (@giamourizes) created an account, pretended to be me at first, & started tweeting support to him. now that the president has retweeted them, they’re now bashing him. that’s not me lol. i actually support trump.

“Bashing him” is putting it mildly. A tweet posted by the account reads, “Our president is an awful, hateful human being who wants nothing more than to keep the status quo and hatred prevalent in our country when we should be pushing forward with the rest of the world towards progress and change.”
It also encourages followers to vote in the 2020 election — presumably, not for Trump.
The anonymous tweeter also cleared up rumors that they hacked someone’s account. It appears that the persistence of lying in wait for Trump to fall for a “praising response” paid off.
“For the record this account is neither a bot nor a hack,” a tweet explained. “Every single tweet has been legitimate, I just am the type of committed idiot who thought over the past two years the president was surely dumb enough to RT literally any praising response to him.”
The account has already racked up several hundred followers thanks to its internet notoriety, with followers congratulating its owner of pulling a fast one on POTUS.
Trump, meanwhile, has deleted his retweet.
