Protesters confront Trumps with giant talking, farting robot depicting president tweeting from a gold toilet
Move over, Trump Baby Blimp. Protesters in London have found a new way to troll the president.
Though Donald Trump tweeted on Monday that he hadn’t “seen any protests yet,” his critics were in full swing for day two of his state visit to Great Britain. For the second year in a row, a large blimp depicting the president as a baby loomed over Westminster, where Trump will spend much of the day in the company of departing Prime Minister Theresa May.
Protesters have also gathered at London’s famed Trafalgar Square, a short distance from both Buckingham Palace and 10 Downing Street. Along with protest signs and rolls of toilet paper featuring the president’s image, demonstrators have also positioned a 16-foot talking robot nicknamed “Dump Trump.” The piece shows POTUS wearing a “Make America Great Again, Impeach Me” hat as he tweets from the comfort of a golden toilet, his pants dropped to his ankles.
As the Independent reports, the indignity doesn’t stop there. “Dump Trump” emits farting noises and bellows out a handful of the president’s famous quotes, including “no collusion,” “you are fake news” and “I’m a very stable genius.”
“Dump Trump” is the brainchild of Don Lessem, an American science writer who had the robot made in China.
Meanwhile, protesters have also resorted to taunting Trump by flashing projections of the USS John S. McCain and Barack Obama’s approval ratings on various London landmarks.
