Doritos' New Flavor With 'Nice Spicy Kick' Is Perfect for Mountain Dew Baja Blast Fans

Doritos is launching a brand-new flavor that fans of Mountain Dew’s Baja Blast are likely to enjoy: Doritos Baja Fiery Mango.
The flavor, which the chip brand has described as “spice-packed and tangy,” marks Doritos’ first flavor inspired by Mountain Dew’s fan-favorite soda.
The new chips are expected to arrive in select stores starting on April 14. The flavor will go nationwide on April 28 and will be available for a “limited time,” according to a Doritos press release shared with Parade.
Fans will be able to identify the Baja Fiery Mango chips by the brand’s fun bag design, which features a teal-colored shark leaping out of a wave of fire as it rips off a chunk of the Doritos logo. A diced mango and red chili peppers ride on the wave beside the shark as a volcano erupts in the distance.

The new chip flavor will be available in 2.6-, 9- and 18.3-ounce bags, and will also be included alongside Nacho Cheese and Cool Ranch Doritos as part of some eight-count variety packs, according to the brand’s press release.
Food blogger Snackolator, who previewed the new chips on Thurs., April 11, said they were expected to embody the Baja Blast flavor while including a “nice spicy kick of mango.”
Many fans who commented on Snackolator’s Instagram preview seemed eager to give the Baja Fiery Mango chips a try, though some appeared hesitant as they wondered how spicy the new flavor would be.
“Baja Doritos?… BET!” one Instagram user wrote, as another agreed that trying them out would be “A NEED!”
“I’m gonna get a couple bags of these,” another eager fan said.
One Instagram user wondered, “Why does every new Doritos flavor gotta be hot?”
“I really want to try them but I am a spice/heat wimp,” another person wrote.
Doritos’ new flavor launch arrives just a few months after Mountain Dew announced that Baja Blast would be permanently available in stores nationwide this year, a shift made in recognition of the beverage’s 20th anniversary. The soda’s 20-year mark has also inspired a Baja Blast hot sauce and new Baja Blast dessert items at Taco Bell, for which the beverage was initially created.
