The British brand Dr. Martens today released its latest silhouette: the Anistone Biker boot. Featuring a rugged vibe and hardware, the shoe attempts to hop on a slow growing trend that has been increasing in the market over the past two years.
The Anistone boot is being made available in a high and low version. Each features three colorways: dark brown, charcoal and black Wanama. The shoe includes a raised Bex sole with exaggerated cleating that is finished with the company’s signature stitching. But the leather and bulky silhouette evoke a tough vibe.
The high versions include industrial-inspired plates and buckles. Both versions also include the signature black and yellow heel loop. Prices range from $180 for the low styles to $210 for the high.
The introduction of the footwear follows the debut of Miu Miu’s motorcycle boot in fall 2022. That shoe kicked off a bit of a fever pitch and to date a search for “Miu Miu Biker Boots” turns up 3.5 million posts on TikTok. Those boots also feature hardware, though they include more buckles that the Dr. Martens variation. Since then, other bands have also introduced versions: Steve Madden offered what was practically a knock off of the shoe. Loewe also designed a pair of red motorcycle boots that they put on the runway. Other names like Acne Studios and Gannii have also riffed on it.
Celebrities have been donning various styles: Sienna Miller, Dua Lipa and Elsa Hosk are included. Emily Ratajkowski, who has a nose for footwear trends, was spotted in the Miu Miu boots last month.
The boots are often worn with denim shorts or flirty mini-dresses, the latter often presented as a frilly contrast.
