  • In Dr. Pimple Popper’s new Instagram video, she helps a patient with a bulb of a cyst bulging out of his upper back.

  • The dermatologist calls it “garlic,” but doesn't reveal if it’s smelly.

  • Dr. Pimple Popper slices through the skin and squeezes it out in one whole blob.

Have you ever wondered if pimple pops have an odor? I certainly have, but thankfully there's always a screen and many miles between me and any pimple pops. Dermatologist Sandra Lee, MD, a.k.a. Dr. Pimple Popper, is always within close proximity to her patients and their potentially pungent pimples.

She's giving not-so-subtle hints about the smell factor in her latest Instagram video. Dr. Pimple Popper took on a back cyst, and it fought back. She titled it "beautiful bulb of garlic cyst."

The video begins with the camera hovering over her patient's back. There's definitely a bump on the upper back, and Dr. Pimple Popper can see it too. She added a joke in the caption: "Had Garlic on my grocery list and then... ?? #drpimplepopper Go to the #linkinbio?? for the FULL EXCLUSIVE! #garlic #mondaythoughts"

Then, the real show begins. Dr. Pimple Popper uses scissors to snip through the skin and reveal the cyst below. The little "bulb" just peeks out from the incision, but it stays put for now.

Dr. Pimple Popper's next step is squeezing. Her goal is to squeeze it out intact and whole. Spoiler, she does. Only a bit of gunk squishes out before the whole blob emerges. Take it from her fans, it's a great sight. One wrote, "This might be the best one I've ever seen."
