Dr. Scholl’s Shoes is ending its 100th anniversary collaboration series on a happy note with its final collection dedicated to honoring its centennial milestone.

The Caleres-owned footwear brand has joined forces with SmileyWorld for a “feel-good” shoe collection for everyone. Indeed, the collection was designed for all ages and genders, and marks Dr. Scholl’s first-ever collaboration that expands to the whole family.

Dr. Scholl’s Shoes’ said that the new range showcases its best-selling TikTok viral sneaker, the Time Off Lace Up Sneaker, along with the Madison Lace Up Sneaker and Louis Iconic Clog, all reimagined with vibrant, bold designs, featuring SmileyWorld’s signature logo.

“We were inspired by SmileyWorld’s ‘We Are All Original’ campaign, as both brands champion self-confidence and authenticity for all ages,” Katie Moore, Dr. Scholl’s Shoes’ senior design director, said in a statement. “Our most-loved styles are the perfect canvas to highlight SmileyWorld’s iconic smile emojis and optimistic details. This playful collaboration creates a sense of unity through happiness.”

The Dr. Scholl’s x SmileyWorld limited-edition collection, which retails between $35 and $85, is now available on the footwear brand’s website. The collection will then launch at Famous Footwear stores starting Oct. 24.

This collaboration marks the final chapter in Dr. Scholl’s Shoes’ 100th anniversary celebration. Since March, the footwear brand kicked off its celebration with the launch of its namesake 100th Anniversary Collection, which highlighted its original wooden sandal.

Dr. Scholl’s Shoes then followed up with a second collection in April with Free People. The range featured two pairs of Dr. Scholl’s Original Sandal, remade by Free People in saturated indigo with a raw denim strap and in white with an eyelet fabric strap.

And in August, the brand released its third collection, this time with the late style icon Iris Apfel. One of the standout items in the seven-piece range – and Apfel’s favorite in the collection – was the “Mr. Carl” mule, named in honor of her late husband as she said the shoe reminded her of the slippers he used to wear in their apartment.

Started in 1924 by Dr. William Scholl when he opened his first Comfort Foot Shop, the brand founder aimed to change the comfort footwear category entirely with the launch of his original wooden sandal in 1959.

Over the next several years, the style quickly became a favorite of the fashion crowd in the 1960s. More recent iconic moments for the sandal include an appearance on Isaac Mizrahi’s runway, on the feet of Sarah Jessica Parker’s “Sex and the City” character Carrie Bradshaw, and on Jennifer Aniston.
