Dreaming of a Summer Wedding? You Might Want to Avoid *This* Date

There’s something inherently magical about a hot summer evening—a buzz in the air, if you will. Which is probably why so many brides choose the season for the nuptials. (Well, that and the ability to comfortably rock a strapless gown).

And it seems that one date in particular has won the popularity contest: According to a new study from The Knotthis Saturday, August 18 (or the palindrome 8/18/18), will host nearly 30,000 weddings nationwide, generating an estimated $1 billion for the wedding industry in a single day. Gulp.

Planning your upcoming wedding for one of those magically balmy, late August nights? Better book that caterer ASAP, girl.
