Drew Barrymore Brings Pure Sunshine to Miserably Rainy Day in NYC

Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore continues to bring the good vibes.

The Charlie's Angels actress displayed her positive attitude, once again, as she was photographed outside amid a dreary, rainy day in New York City, making it clear that nothing can bring her down—not even bad weather.

In the midst of the rain, Barrymore brought the sunshine with her bright smile, flashing her pearly whites for cameras while hitting the pavement, making her way through the slick city streets on Tuesday, Jan. 9.

The 50 First Dates star cut a classy figure in a dark grey button-up shirt and wide-leg pant set, accessorizing with an oversized waist belt, royal blue loafers, and large hoop earrings. For outerwear, she sported a long olive green puffer coat—but she wasn't exactly bundled up in the damp weather, as it was worn casually unzipped.

Luckily for her, Barrymore kept dry underneath a large umbrella being held above her by a nearby assistant, as the duo walked alongside another woman who joined them.

It is unclear where The Drew Barrymore Show host was coming from or headed, but she was snapped several times, donning the same, high-spirited smile in every capture.

Barrymore has often been hailed as someone with a warm spirit, showing affection toward her talk show visitors by drawing near to them.

Though she has caught backlash for that exact thing, the 48-year-old has defended her propensity to be generally loving and kind, and even provided insight into why she likes being physically close with her guests.

"There's this magnetic pull of, you know… my therapist would say like, 'You're not supposed to be attached to things.' But Barry, I'm so attached to this," she said last year, addressing her therapist while speaking about her love for interviewing guests.

"I love doing this show so much. I get to learn from people every day. I get to have these incredible conversations that I definitely take something away with. It's always improving my life. It's profound. It's fun. We like to be silly. It's whiplash comedy because that's life, the heavier it gets, the more you want to laugh," she added at the time.

At the end of the day, the world could always use a little more sunshine.
