It’s one of our favorite times of the year: Drew Barrymore’s Beauty Junkie Week on Instagram! In the beloved series, the Santa Clarita Diet actress shares all of her favorite products, from face oil to sunscreen to eye cream. But this time, she switched things up and revealed her secret to a whiter, brighter smile.

Because she has sensitive teeth, Barrymore says that bleaching her teeth in the past only left her with toothaches, so she kept searching for a solution. That’s when she discovered a simple two-step process for cleaning and whitening: Crest 3D White Brilliance 2 Step Toothpaste kit. “It’s the best thing I can find to give a quick kick of white,” Barrymore said in an Instagram video.

“My teeth may not be perfect, but they are clean!” she captioned the post. “I’ve been using this Crest 3D White Brilliance Toothpaste and I really can tell a difference.”

The 45-year-old mom of two also explained how she uses the kit, brushing her teeth thoroughly for about a minute with the deep cleaning toothpaste in step one and then spitting it out (“you don’t rinse”) before squeezing on a generous amount of the whitening polish in step two.

In between all that brushing, Barrymore continued to rave about how this is the only hack she’s found to appease her hypersensitive teeth and get pearly whites. “I swear, it really … it helps, man. It helps! And my teeth can take it, and my teeth are super sensitive,” she said. “I’m telling you, you will see a visible difference after this two-step.”

After brushing her teeth, tongue, and gurgling (she went all out with her dental nighttime routine), she shows off her brightened teeth. “Look, it may be crooked, but it’s clean,” she says. “I didn’t genetically get big, white, fabulous horse teeth, like, we work with what we got, OK?”
