Drew Barrymore is off the market!
The talk show personality is opening up about her relationship in an upcoming episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, revealing that she's actually been seeing her new beau on and off for the last three years or so.
In a preview obtained by Entertainment Tonight of the episode airing Monday, Oct. 23, the Music & Lyrics star sits down with Gwyneth Paltrow and admits that the hype surrounding Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's reported romance inspired her to go public with her own.
Paltrow incidentally kicked off the conversation, suggesting that Barrymore, 48, join the dating app Bumble after commenting on her husband Brad Falchuk's "too chiseled" body.
But Barrymore beat her to it, sharing that she had met someone on Raya—the members-only dating app favored by celebs—that she has "been seeing sort of in and around the last three years."
Things are slowly heating up given that he's about to accompany her to their first wedding together. "Wow, after three and a half years you are going to invite me to a wedding?" she said he joked.
As for what pushed her to make the leap? Barrymore credits the "Wonderland" songstress and the NFL star, whose recent influx of attention made her stop overthinking about her own relationship.
After spotting Swift sitting with Kelce's mother at the very first Kansas City Chiefs game she attended, Barrymore realized things could be a bit simpler than she was making them.
"There's something about this man being that's like pushing people to express themselves in a very joyous, positive way, and I just want to say, for me personally, I have been single for seven years [and] seeing her on that first date out there in the box with his family I had a big Oprah a-ha moment," she said, per the publication. "There was something so normal about it, and obviously Taylor Swift is everything but normal, but I'm a female, I'm going to go out on a date with a male, I'm not going to overthink this, I am not going to be the dark horse and be secretive and weird about it."
She continued, "Like, she just went out on a date and it made me think I could just go out on a date. This was evidence of not being affected by what other people think ... it was so calm, confident and normal that it just made me think I should do this too."
