It features two unique formulas for both your under-eyes and eyelids.
As a beauty writer and editor, I am sent lots of products to test out. While it’s easy to gravitate toward the really luxurious and expensive ones that celebrities claim help them look forever young, discovering a new budget-friendly drugstore find is actually the most joy-sparking of all. Recently, RoC sent me a jar of its recently-launched multitasking eye cream, and it ranks right up there with those that are quadruple the price.
The next-level genius thing about RoC Skincare Derm Correxion Dual Eye Cream is that you basically get two products for the price of one. The little tub comes partitioned with a pink gel for your upper lids, and a white cream for the under-eye area, each formulated to treat the unique properties of the skin surrounding your eyes.

“Many factors contribute to the appearance of under-eye circles such as volume loss in the tear trough area, hyperpigmentation, and skin atrophy. Eye creams can be a part of a comprehensive approach to correct these issues,” Kathleen Cook Suozzi, MD, associate professor, department of dermatology at Yale School of Medicine, tells InStyle. I asked her to explain how the formulations for the upper and lower eye treatments differ.
“The upper eye cream contains several ingredients that can contribute to skin tightening or firming,” she says, including retinol, known for its collagen-boosting properties (though Dr. Suozzi says it should be used with caution in case of irritation). Other ingredients include sorghum bicolor stalk juice, which “can create a film on the skin’s surface that can temporarily improve skin tightness,” and adenosine, “known for skin restoring properties and can contribute to healthier, smoother skin appearance.
The lower eye cream contains certain ingredients that can contribute to de-puffing and reducing the appearance of dark circles, including sodium hyaluronate, a humectant that helps hydrate skin and palmitoyl tripeptide–5, “which can support skin elasticity and firmness and could help reduce puffiness. Additionally, this formula also includes retinol and panthenol for an extra boost of hydration.
I was pleasantly surprised the first time I tested the creams. Both the pink gel and white cream absorb nicely into the skin and don't flake off, even after applying concealer and eyeshadow, which is one of my first tests for any eye cream. My eyes are also quite sensitive, but I didn’t experience any irritation or eye-watering with this RoC product. Overall, both feel quite luxurious and similar to much more expensive eye creams I have tried.
After just one day of using the product, I awoke looking refreshed. I definitely noticed that my under-eye area looked brighter and the fine lines seemed to be smoothed out a little. After a few weeks, I have seen even more of a difference — my lids don’t look quite as droopy and my under-eye area continues to look plumper and brighter.
