Dubai is not known for keeping cool. The desert city has an average summertime temperature of 94°F, and Dubai’s residents and visitors will try anything to avoid the summer heatwave, when temperatures regularly reach 113°F.
Now one ingenious winter-themed attraction in the middle of the city is offering a unique opportunity: to spend the night on an indoor ski slope, where temperatures drop to 25°F.
Ski Dubai, an indoor ski slope that opened in 2005 in the Mall of the Emirates, will start transforming into an overnight Alpine getaway, according to Gulf News. Once a week, the attraction will set up tents on its manmade snow and let guests skip the heat.

One night on the slopes will cost approximately $204 for two people. That includes cold weather gear and two hours of after-hours access to the slopes and zipline. Plus, there will be plenty of refreshments—including a nighttime hot chocolate.
Guests stay in sleeping bags on thermal mattresses inside tents designed to keep out the extreme cold. The next morning, they can thaw out with breakfast in Ski Dubai’s cafe, St. Moritz.
Visitors to Dubai can start trading sun for snow every Friday, starting July 29.
