Duchess Meghan & Prince Harry Plan U.K. Return Before 2021
Contrary to a plethora of recent reports, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are due to return to the United Kingdom before 2021.
While some tabloids had suggested that Prince Harry might be returning to England alone to see his family, a Sussex source tells BAZAAR.com, "Had it not been for COVID-19 and travel restrictions, they would have already been back in the U.K.–for things like Beatrice’s wedding and Trooping of the Colour for example." Understandably, the coronavirus pandemic has forced the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to remain in the United States for a longer period of time than anticipated before visiting the United Kingdom again.
The source continues, "It is worth also pointing out, that the trial date for the Mail on Sunday is set to start on January 11, 2021 at the High Court, London, which if nothing changes, will still require two week’s self-isolation before it starts." As a result, the Sussexes are likely to return to England before New Year, so that Duchess Meghan can testify in person at the trial, after first quarantining.
The coronavirus pandemic has altered plans for all members of the royal family. While in-person royal visits and events have gradually started to resume, strict social distancing measures remain in place.
Now based in Santa Barbara, Meghan and Harry have made many virtual appearances in recent months, enabling them to continue supporting the causes and charities they hold dear, while also staying safe amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
