Dune 2 First Reactions Describe New Film as “A Masterpiece”

After many delays and pushed-back release dates, Dune: Part Two is heading to theaters in just a couple of weeks, and the first reactions are finally rolling in.

Denis Villeneuve directs the follow-up to his 2021 film Dune, which saw Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides, who is troubled by visions of a dark future as he and his family become embroiled in a war for control over the galaxy's most valuable asset.

In Part Two, we reunite with Paul Atreides, Chani, and the Fremen as they seek revenge against the conspirators who destroyed Paul's family.

The first reactions herald the film as Villeneuve's "magnum opus", calling it "a masterclass of crafts" and "breathtaking", which will please fans who have been long-awaiting the next chapter of Paul's story.

Here are more first reactions to Dune: Part Two.

Dune: Part Two hits theaters on March 1, 2024.
