Dwayne Johnson says that he's scared of his daughters' favorite game: 'Daddy, close your eyes'
Dwayne Johnson isn’t a huge fan of his daughters’ pranks.
The Black Adam star, 50, appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this week, where he admitted that his youngest daughters — Jasmine, 6, and Tiana, 4 — sometimes scare him with their favorite game.
“It is terrifying to me,” the actor shared with Fallon. “We play their favorite game. It’s called 'Daddy, Close Your Eyes.'”
The game involves Johnson, who recently shot down the idea of a presidential run because of his focus on fatherhood, closing his eyes while Jasmine and Tiana do whatever it is they want. In the past, that has included splashing a water balloon on his head and drawing a mustache and unibrow on his face with marker.
“You've just got to laugh it off,” he told Fallon. “When they’re this age, I’m in it.”
The reason the Jungle Cruise actor is more willing to go along with his kids’ pranks, he shared, is because he knows he only has a “finite amount of time” with his children at this stage of life.
“I’m girl dad all the way,” he added. “When they say ’Daddy, close your eyes,’ I’m doing it.”
Johnson, who is also father to 21-year-old Simone, recently shared that his youngest kids routinely interrupt him while he’s trying to get some rest — but that he wouldn’t trade it for anything. In a June Instagram post, he explained that he “attempted to take a quick nap” but that his “littlest loving tornado” kept coming in to ask him how he was sleeping.
“After my 7th time of saying, 'Daddy is sleeping great baby, thank you for checking on me' ... she says 'I know what you need.' ... She puts the dog’s toy by my mouth and then serenades me with 'Itsy Bitsy Spider,' who apparently loves stomp-walking all over Daddy’s face,” he wrote. “Then hits me with the walk-off mic drop of 'Goodnight daddy, I love you.’”
He added, “We act annoyed, but secretly, us [daddies] never want this kinda stuff to end. The hell with it, I’ll sleep next year.”
