Dylan Dreyer Teases Wig Fitting Ahead of 'Today's Halloween Show

The Halloween costume prep might've already started over at the Today show, as meteorologist Dylan Dreyer shared a sneak peek of the behind-the-scenes process for a wig fitting.
In new photos posted to her Instagram feed on Tuesday, Oct. 10, Dreyer sat in a makeup chair at Today, with TV journalist Willie Geist beside her in the same position. The two appeared to have the top of their heads covered in cling wrap, with staff marking lines and measurements with a marker.
Referencing a fictional TV character known as Max Headroom, played by Matt Frewer in the 1980s, Dreyer captioned the teasy update, "It’s wig fitting day and @williegeist is giving me some big #maxheadroom vibes…" She even added a side-by-side photo comparison for anyone unfamiliar with the referenced character.
Dreyer didn't outright state that the wig fitting was for Halloween, but it seems likely. While she mentioned Max Headroom in the caption, he will probably not be the character Geist goes for when the holiday comes around later this month. For her part, Dreyer shared no information to indicate what she might dress as this year.
Fans were surprised at the post and questioned Dreyer in the comments, "Ohhhhh… is this Halloween prep…?"
"Can’t wait to see how the Today Show peeps are dressed for Halloween!????," wrote another, as a third shared their anticipation for this year's costumes, saying, "I can't wait to see all of you!"
Others shared laughing emojis and joked along with Dreyer about Geist, with a follower writing, "Hilarious!!! Thanks for the giggle!"
Along with behind-the-scenes of her work activities at Today, Dreyer often updates fans with day-to-day moments at home with her husband and three kids. Most recently, she sparked a big debate after posting a video of her youngest son Rusty tasting a lick of wine at the dinner table.
