An Elegant Marble and Rose Gold Wedding at Soori Bali
Today's beautiful bride and her amazing planner, Call Me Madame, blended two of our favorite trends to create the most magical affair at Soori Bali. Throughout this gorgeous day, you will find elegant elements of marble woven into the design and fun pops of rose gold at every turn. Paper Diamonds created lush floral arrangements that complimented the breathtaking scenery while also adding a little dose of drama! Take in the views and watch this stunning Bali wedding day unfold at the full gallery, all captured by Rory Wylie.
From the bride... I took a deep breath, cradled my dad’s arm and we walked together slowly up the stone path towards the helipad. I looked down at the beautiful pink anemones (all the way from Japan!) nested in my exquisite bouquet by Paper Diamonds and I was in a trance. As we drifted to the ceremony, I scanned familiar faces set against the romantic layout in front of me, backdropped by the waves crashing on the cliff top, and then I saw Mark - my soon to be husband, I held back a tear. We had visited Bali two years before and fell in love with the dramatic cliff tops, sounds of nature and the wonderful Balinese food. We had no doubt when we got engaged that we wanted to invite our friends and family to our favourite place in the world to celebrate our special day.
We chose the Soori for its unique black sand beaches, impeccable service and conservationist ethos. The resort’s owner-architect has married clean modern architecture with local rice fields and a striking coastline seamlessly to create a sanctuary, backdropped by Bali’s famous mountains. We exchanged vows before dancing down the aisle as our charming photographer Rory Wylie snapped it all! She was up for anything and worked tirelessly to capture our memories - we are so grateful for her efforts and good spirits! When we first met with our planner, Alice Dentan from Call Me Madame I painted a vision of an elegant marble and rose gold theme, with a touch of drama.
Mademoiselle Dentan certainly hit the nail on the head which magical touches of her signature French style, and her little black book did not disappoint - we were thrilled with the partners she recommended. Our jaws dropped at sunset when we arrived at our reception marquee which had taken four days to set up! It was a magnificent [25 foot tall] structure draped in soft white fabrics, long tables lined with cool stone crockery sat on rose gold chargers, crystal cut water tumblers and rose gold rimmed wine glasses. Each guest was gifted a personalized hexagonal marble name tile, elegantly penned by Pi Calligraphy. Speeches weaved throughout courses and as night fell our guests were ushered outside for a spectacular firework display, after cutting our four tier marble monogrammed cake, we danced our first dance… The next day, all I could think was “can we do this every year?”- I’ve yet to run this by my new husband, but as they say, a happy wife is a happy life!
