Elizabeth Hurley, 55, embarks on a ‘pretend vacation’ in a green string bikini
We’ve been warned — Elizabeth Hurley seemingly just promised ten straight days of bikini photos.
On Thursday, the British model and actress posted an Instagram photo of herself wearing an army-green two-piece swimsuit, while kicking her leg up on a sandy beach. “Pretend vacation!” wrote the 55-year-old mom. “I’m so fed up with being at home, I’m pretending I’m away and am living vicariously through my camera roll for the next ten days.”
Although Hurley’s Instagram account is her sexy sanctum, it’s possible the latest snaps were her final word in a public spat this week with Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan. On Wednesday, the BBC commentator referred to a set of Instagram photos featuring Hurley topless and draped in an unbuttoned sweater “thirsty” and “creepy.” He also asked whether Hurley’s 18-year-old son Damian was the swimsuit photographer, a role he fulfills on occasion, along with other family members.
The criticism found its way to Hurley, who responded with a re-tweet of the photos and a new caption: “Far be it for me to suggest the tabloids get their facts muddled, but these pics were in fact taken by my 80 year old mother,” she wrote. “Not entirely sure if that puts minds at rest or not.”
Later, Morgan apologized, albeit in a backhanded manner. "Very sorry because yesterday I called her thirsty as the moment the snow came out she took all her clothes off and ran outside and posed topless," he said. "Then she posted it claiming, ‘How could I resist?’ Well, of course, how could an attention-seeking narcissist resist such a moment?"
Anyway. The swimwear designer, who is nesting at home in England with her entire family, will presumably make good on her promise to share more memories, wearing anything she pleases.
