Elysburg Haunted House ready to scare in the Valley
Sep. 28—ELYSBURG — Within the next month, more than 15,000 people will swarm to the Elysburg Haunted House to be scared stiff by a group of 100 volunteers looking to bring joy to children of all ages.
The Elysburg Haunted House opens next weekend for its 49th year with several new attractions but the ghosts and goblins aren't talking about the new additions to the house.
However, one of the haunted house's committee members, Wayne Horne, said he would give a small preview of what's to come for the 2024 season.
"We will have a scene from JAWS," he said. "We think people will love this, and that's all I will say."
Horne said he expects to see nearly 15,000 people travel through Ralpho Township for a chance to enter the house, which at times, could be a long wait.
"We are happy to see so many people want to come and see us," he said.
