Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson Do Tequila Shots Together in Funny Clip
The 'Jungle Cruise' co-stars showed fans how they pre-gamed for this year's Oscars.
Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson aren't just former co-stars who presented alongside one another during the 2023 Academy Awards, they're pretty close friends that also pre-gamed the event together.
Johnson, 50, shared a behind-the-scenes look at how he and Blunt, 40, got ready for this year's Oscars on Instagram. And if we're being honest, we don't know what we were expecting from the clip–especially since Johnson captioned it, "Oscars, Blunt, Tequila, Manx ??,"–but it certainly wasn't this.
The hysterical video begins with the two posing on the award show carpet and a caption that reads: "What getting ready for the Oscars with Emily Blunt is really like."

The video then cuts to Johnson's Jungle Cruise co-star casually strolling into the room wearing what looks like a hairdresser's cape over her gown. "I'm wearing a white dress, and I don't trust you," she tells the actor before suggesting they "do the worst Hollywood air kiss ever."
Then the two break out the tequila and some shot glasses, "Oh, look at this. I should get paid for this s--t," Blunt jokes as the camera zooms in on her pour. "I'm just saying," she adds before Johnson quipped, "Uh, you will."
After making a mockery of influencer promo shots, Blunt tells the Black Adam star that he can't wear his sunglasses, something he's not so happy to hear, and then the two take at least one shot of tequila for the camera.
"You're having so much fun," an unidentified voice behind the camera jokes before Blunt turns to Johnson, asking, "have you ever done a shot before?" To which he shakes his head no.

Then viewers are treated to clips showing how the photo magic is created: through strategic poses and great lighting. But before fans get to see the final photos, Johnson manages to sneak one last joke about "Manx" or "male Spanx" (we think).
And as quickly as Blunt rushes into the clip, is as fast as she ushers the two out, pressuring Johnson to "say goodbye" to the camera as he helps load her into their ride to the Oscars. "Fighting and we haven't even left yet," he joked before the video faded out.
Fans immediately fell in love with the two's humor and on-screen chemistry, some even dubbing them "the duo we didn’t know we needed." Fingers crossed, they join forces on more projects in the coming years and share more of these candid moments.
