Emily Blunt and John Krasinski gave the world another look at their most polished, red carpet date style at the 2024 Oscars this evening. Blunt took the spotlight dressed in a Schiaparelli couture gown with a high leg slit. She accessorized with Tiffany & Co. jewelry. Krasinski complemented her in a white tuxedo.
Blunt is up for Best Actress in a Supporting Role this evening for her role in Oppenheimer. The entire team is up for Best Picture. The film has the most Oscar nominations of any project, receiving 13 nods.
Blunt will also be a presenter at this year’s Academy Awards. She comes off a viral moment presenting at the SAG Awards last month, where she had a The Devil Wears Prada reunion with co-stars and co-presenters, Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep.
Blunt addressed the legacy of the 2006 film in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK in June. “There have been career moments that were impactful, and those that have been game-changing,” she said. “I remember when The Devil Wears Prada came out, and it was an overnight shift between people wanting to meet me for stuff, and not. But I also remember the premiere for A Quiet Place. About 10 people had seen it, the film was made for no money, and we had no idea how it would be received. I’ll never forget that premiere, it just blew the doors off the place.”
She also spoke about how her and Krasinski’s family gives her joy. The couple has two daughters together, Hazel, 9, and Violet, 7.
“My children in general, and in so many ways, make me happy,” Blunt said. “I love waking them up in the morning–I love how they smell, but I’m sure I won’t when they’re teenagers! I love picking them up from school, seeing their faces look for me amongst the parents, and then they catch my eye and their faces light up. Again, I’m sure that will change one day when they’re like, ‘Mum, I’ll meet you at the corner!’”
