Emily Ratajkowski Wore Pearly Highlighter All Over Her Body at the Oscars
Emily Ratajkowski is always gorgeous and impeccably glowy, but at Sunday’s Vanity Fair Oscars Party, the 25-year-old actress and model took her usual luminous look to the next level.
“I’m almost always inspired by the dress for red carpet events,” makeup artist Hung Vanngo said in a press release. “Emily’s gown may initially make one think of something glamorous, like a pearlescent eyeshadow and a red lip. We thought it would be interesting to do something a bit more unexpected so we chose a color palette for her makeup that would make a bigger statement. The final look complements rather than competes with the dress.”

Using Marc Jacobs Beauty products, Vanngo created a vibrant glow. He started with Undercover Perfecting Coconut Face Primer and followed with Genius Gel Super Charged Oil-Free Foundation in Golden Deep, brightening under the eyes with the Remedy Concealer Pen in Late Show and setting with Perfection Powder Featherweight Foundation in Golden Fawn.
Along the perimeter of her face and in the contours of her cheekbones, Vanngo used O!Mega Bronzer Perfect Tan, then applied Air Blush Soft Glow Duo in Kink & Kisses for a subtle flush of color. Skin was completed with Glow Stick Glistening Illuminator on the cheekbones, shoulders, and arms.
Eyes were equally glowy for a look that was almost wet. Vanngo started with Highliner Gel Eye Crayon in O(vert), a forest green shade, along the top and bottom lashes and pressed into the lid, and then diffused the color out with a soft brush. He used green and charcoal shades, Starlet and Vamp, from the Eye Style-Con No. 7 Plush Eyeshadow Palette, layering over the liner and smudging out for a sheer effect. He completed Ratajkowski’s eyes with Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara on the top and Feather Noir Ultra-Skinny Lash-Discovery Mascara on the bottom.
Ratajkowski wore nude lips so they wouldn’t compete with the bold eye makeup, lining with Poutliner Longwear Lip Liner Pencil in Nude(ist) and filling in with Le Marc Lip Crème in No Angel.
A high-volume topknot with face-framing pieces in a shiny hue kept this look as pearly as possible.
