2021 marks Emma Corrin's very first Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Drama Series thanks to her role as Princess Diana in Netflix's The Crown. She's up against her co-star, Olivia Colman, as well as Jodie Comer from Killing Eve, Laura Linney of Ozark, and Ratched's Sarah Paulson, but this first-timer stood out from her competition wearing a bold Miu Miu gown to the ceremony.
Perhaps keeping The Crown of it all in mind, Corrin wore a long-sleeve black gown with a large, Elizabethan ruffled collar. As an added ode to '80s-era Princess Diana (maybe), the actress's dress included massively voluminous shoulders.

Considered one of 2020's biggest stars, Corrin shared a very relatable video when the Golden Globe nominations were announced earlier this month. "WELL DONE EVERYONE THIS IS MADNESS!! THANK YOU!" she wrote in all-caps. While the enthusiasm is expected, what would Princess Diana think?
"Thank you so much @goldenglobes!" Corrin wrote on Instagram. "A real honour to be named amongst a group of such talented and inspirational women! Working on The Crown was the most magical experience in no small part thanks to the incredible cast and crew that supported and help guide me through THANK YOUU."
