'Emotional' Goldie Hawn Reflects on Bizarre Alien Encounter
Goldie Hawn
Goldie Hawn is opening up about once communing with extraterrestrials.
The actress revealed her alleged close encounter of the third kind on the Apple Fitness+ show Time to Walk, sharing that somewhere around 50 years ago, she begged the sky for a meeting with aliens—and they were kind enough to oblige.
At the time, Hawn, then in her 20s, was working as a dancer in Calif. "That was a time when, you know, there was a lot of UFO sightings," the now-77-year-old recalled.
As such, she was raring for her own opportunity. "I remember this so clearly: I went outside my door, and I sat on the little ledge, and I looked up at the dark sky," she said. "I saw all these stars, and all I could think of was, 'How far does this go? How little are we? Are we the only planet in the whole wide universe that has life on it?'"
So she issued a plea to any life out there: "I know you're out there, I know we're not alone, and I would like to meet you one day."
Just a few months later, she said she got her wish while sitting alone in a friend's car. She remembers a "high-pitched sound in her ear" before becoming "paralyzed" as three bizarre-looking beings appeared.
The creatures, which "were silver in color, slash for a mouth, tiny little nose, no ears," pointed at her and the car "as if they were discussing me like I was a subject. And they were droning."
"I didn’t know if it was real or not real," she continued, remembering how she wanted to move but couldn't. But when one touched her face, she said it "was the most benevolent, loving feeling," like "the finger of God."
"This was powerful," the Overboard star thought. "It was filled with light." And when it ended, it felt like "bursting out of a forcefield."
Naturally, the experience has stuck with her, fueling an interest in space and other extraterrestrial experiences. Just recently she visited an area where crop circles had allegedly been appearing, somehow dreaming of one of the exact spots that she would come across on the exploration.
"I was looking over a valley and saw six lights came up over the mountain," she remembered.
The next day, she found herself looking down over a dark valley that turned out to be "exactly the spot" she'd dreamt of. Even more unsettling, a new crop circle had apparently turned up the night prior to her arrival.
"We can never ever lose our wonder," she said after the fact. "It’s just no fun. It’s really an important aspect of being an adventurer, where nothing is impossible."
