This Epic Tennessee Corn Maze is Every Country Music Fan's Dream

From House Beautiful

  • Honeysuckle Hill Farm is better known as Nashville’s Country Music Corn Maze.

  • Over the years, the farm has cut their corn in the shape of various country music stars.

  • This year, the maze is being cut in the shape of the one and only, Thomas Rhett.

Looking for something fun to do this fall? Honeysuckle Hill Farm in Springfield, Tennessee has you covered.

Situated just 25 miles outside of Nashville, Honeysuckle Hill Farm welcomes between 55,000 and 60,000 visitors per year. While their cow train rides, duck races, zip line, and Grandma’s Kitchen certainly have something to do with that, what they’re really known for is their corn maze.

Unlike other farm mazes, Honeysuckle Hill veers away from simple geometric mazes and instead, with their Nashville roots in mind, cuts their maze in the shape of a well-known country music star. Where past years have featured mazes in the shape of Johnny Cash, George Strait, Luke Bryan, George Jones, Charles Esten, and songwriters Dean Dillon and Darrell Scott (who actually shot a music video in his maze in 2019), 2020 is highlighting the one and only Thomas Rhett.

Earlier this summer, Mikayla Yates—who adores Thomas Rhett and is the daughter of Lisa and Jeff Alsup, the owners of Honeysuckle Hill Farm—shared a photo of the preliminary design of the maze (which will be cut in early August) on Instagram. As soon as Thomas Rhett saw it, he shared it on his own Instagram Story with a simple “WOW” over top.

Where planning, collaborating, obtaining permission for photo rights, and actually designing the maze can take months, but now that that’s all underway, Lisa Alsup says that the actual cutting will only take one to two days. “We use GPS and a zero-turn mower,” she shares.

Honeysuckle Hill Farm is open from September 26th to November 1st, on select days, for just $13.95 (online) and $16.95 (at the gate) for ages three and up.

If you’re planning to visit, Honeysuckle Hill Farm is located at 1765 Martins Chapel Church Road, Springfield, Tennessee 37172.
