Eric Trump says woman working at cocktail bar spat at him: 'It was purely a disgusting act'
Eric Trump’s trip to Chicago — where he gushed about visiting the Trump hotel there — took a sour turn when he was allegedly spat on by a woman working at the cocktail bar The Aviary.
Mary Ann Ahern of local affiliate NBC 5 Chicago was the first to report the story, adding that the Secret Service had the suspect in custody. She later shared an image of Chicago PD at the scene.

The first son lashed out at his alleged attacker in an interview with conservative media outlet Breitbart News.
“It was purely a disgusting act by somebody who clearly has emotional problems,” Trump said. “For a party that preaches tolerance, this once again demonstrates they have very little civility. When somebody is sick enough to resort to spitting on someone, it just emphasizes a sickness and desperation and the fact that we’re winning.”
Sources told Breitbart that the woman allegedly “murmured inaudibly something that sounded like it was anti-Trump” after spitting in his face. Secret Service agents are said to have immediately swooped in.
Chicago PD chief communications officer Anthony Guglielmi tweeted that local police were aiding the Secret Service with a “law enforcement matter.” The Secret Service has not yet issued a statement on the situation.
CPD was on scene and assisting the United States Secret Service with a law enforcement matter. Any and all inquiries regarding a federal protectee must be directed to the Secret Service. https://t.co/ecq5TaMiQ0

The incident has predictably stirred up some major schadenfreude from Trump critics on Twitter.

Can any columnists tempted to knock out a thousand sad words about Eric Trump, spit victim please take a look at the photo of father and daughter washed up on the banks of the Rio Grande and write about that instead?

Eric Trump says a cocktail waitress spat on him, but she claims that's impossible since he's not even her type.

Meanwhile, one Yelp user couldn’t resist leaving The Aviary this five-star review: “Servers have great aim! Very knowledgeable. Excellent technique. Would visit again.”
Trump supporters, however, are aghast.
Demwits have no class, actually spitting on Eric Trump? He should have 👊👊
