Music festival season might be over, but like they say: it never rains in LA. LA3C 2023 will have you dance the night away and make you explore all the rich culture that the City of Angels has to offer.

LA3C is an annual music, food, and culture festival hosted by the Penke Media Corporation (PMC), the media company that owns Billboard, Rolling Stone, The Hollywood Reporter, Variety and other entertainment publications including StyleCaster. The festival will be held from November 10 to 12, 2023, and will include performers like Erykah Badu, Herbie Hancock, Flying Lotus, Robert Glasper, and Terence Martin. What is LA3C?

LA3C—which stands or Los Angeles Capital of Creativity and Culture Festival—is an annual, three-day music, food and art festival that includes live performances, multicultural food and interactive art created by artists from across the world. The event is hosted by the Penske Media Corporation (PMC), whose Chairman, CEO and Founder Jay Penske appointed Juan Mora, an impact investor and non-profit leader as the Chief Executive of LA3C. “It is an honor and privilege to build this festival,” Mora said in a press release in September 2022. “We believe that Los Angeles is a place where people come to pursue their creative passions and a place where talent, diversity and culture thrive. Our programming is meant to reflect our community and to create an inclusive environment where all feel welcome. Jay’s vision and the commitment to positively impact the city of Los Angeles inspires us all. I plan to leverage the expertise of Penske Media’s iconic brands to create an experience for all who join us.”

Penske added, “I have always been inspired by Los Angeles, its people, its vibrancy, its diversity and its creativity. We are proudly building an event with a significant long-term vision. This year, there’s an updated focus on the best of LA’s music, food, and film scenes. Portions of ticket sales will go to LA3C’s official non-profit partner The Los Angeles Community Action Network is There will also be a Marketplace on Main, featuring chefs and concepts from across Los Angeles and Bazaar on Broadway, showcasing Black Market Flea, which highlights the top business and creatives in the Black community.

Where will LA3C take place? LA3C will be held at LA’s most iconic venues including the Theatre at the Ace Hotel, the Los Angeles Theatre, the Orpheum Theatre, and the Palace Theatre.

Who’s performing at LA3C?

Erykah Badu and Herbie Hancock will headline, playing intimate shows at the Orpheum Theatre and Theatre at the Ace Hotel, respectively. Flying Lotus and jazz legends Robert Glasper and Terrace Martin will take over the Theatre at the Ace Hotel as well, and Nick Hakim, Julie Byrne and John Carroll Kirby will take over the Palace Theatre. Additional performers include Questlove, Kamasi Washington, Marc Rebillet, Sudan Archives, Fred Armisen, Lonnie Holley, Aja Monet, Pauli the PSM, Novena Carmel, Shabazz Palaces, Yrsa Daley-Ward with The Josh Craig, Acyde, Siobhan Bell, Kilo Kish, Salami Rose Joe Louis and Def Rain, as well as pop-up performances by Feels Like Floating.
