Eugene Levy’s Grandson Adorably Supports Him for Career Milestone Moment

Eugene Levy had an adorable guest join him on Friday, March 8, as he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The actor's daughter, fellow Schitt’s Creek star Sarah Levy, introduced him. Sarah, 37, reflected on watching her father work as she grew up and shared some of the lessons she learned that she now hopes to pass along to her son James, who turns 2 later this year.
“I’m continuously amazed by his stamina, his attention to detail, his passion and his unwavering dedication to his craft,” Sarah said of her father. “He takes such pride in ensuring that the final product is as good as it can possibly be. Watching him work reminds me that, even if perfection isn’t possible, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t strive for it.”
Overall, Eugene has “shown my brother and me how important it really is to do what you love,” she added.
Sarah later mentioned her son directly while joking about Eugene’s hair sensitivity.
“He will not let anyone touch his hair—except my son James, now,” she said while turning to look at her father as he laughed. “And I’m sure you’re just dying inside when James grabs the front part that’s been really well coiffed and pulls it right in front of his face.”
After Eugene received his star, he posed for pictures with Sarah, his wife Deb Devine and actress Catherine O’Hara, who played his wife on Schitt’s Creek and delivered remarks after Sarah at the March 8 ceremony. Photographers also captured James standing beside his mother and grandfather as they posed with the newly-minted star.
Though Eugene’s son, Dan Levy, did not appear to attend the ceremony, he posted a video clip on Instagram Stories in which his father’s star was officially unveiled. Dan, who co-created Schitt’s Creek and starred in the show alongside Eugene, added a tearing-up emoji to the Story to demonstrate his pride in his father’s career milestone.
