I’m getting married in July, and the thought of my skin looking anything other than perfection is already making me anxious for the big day. It’s going to be humid in Italy when I walk down the aisle, something that just doesn’t work for me, so to say I’m nervous about my makeup is an understatement. That said, I was recently talking to my fiancé, and he said it’s important to not put so much pressure on myself; said pressure will only make things, well, not perfect, because expectations are the cause for disappointment. What will be, will be, and TBH, he’s right.

However, I still want to be prepared, which means I’m testing out a few new beauty products, and one skincare hero that just landed on my radar is used by both Eva Longoria and Martha Stewart. Need I say more?

Longoria is the most recent celebrity to rely on the beloved L'Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Glotion that I am highly intrigued by, not only because of the celeb fans, but also because of what it promises to do — and it won’t break my bridal budget. The actress, who attended the 2024 Oscars on March 10, looked like an absolute dream in a structured black gown that channeled Morticia Adams with its dramatic, off-the-shoulder neckline, stand-out sleeves, and form-fitting silhouette that eventually led to a flared-out hemline. While the dress was certainly one for the books, her beauty look was simply flawless. Think: Dramatic eyes, bold brows, a neutral lip, and glowy, airbrushed skin. The latter is what I’m totally into, which was achieved with the aforementioned drugstore glow lotion.

The goal for Longoria’s makeup was bronze, dewy goddess, and I think that was successfully achieved, don’t you? The key product her makeup artist Elan Bongiorno used was none other than that viral, TikTok famous Glotion, a game-changing tinted moisturizer that’s part skincare, part makeup — and once you try it, you’ll want to use it every single day, just like Stewart does. In fact, Stewart’s makeup artist Daisy Toye once said, “I probably go through a tube every week, ”adding, “it's how [Martha] gets that dewy look, like she just got a facial.” TL;DR? It’s the secret to perfect, airbrushed skin, and that’s exactly how I want to look on my wedding day.

The glow lotion boasts a good-for-your-skin combination of glycerin and shea butter for all day hydration and radiance. It comes in five shades, so you’ll be able to find the perfect one that’ll give you that coveted, sun-kissed skin without the UV rays. The glotion instantly douses your skin with an all-over, natural-looking glow, but it can also be used as a primer, highlighter, or illuminator, so you can pick your level of shine. I personally love a multi-use beauty buy, and this one is clearly that. Not to mention, if Stewart’s MUA says it makes her look like she got a facial, I’m wholeheartedly on board.

I’m a fan of lightweight, tinted moisturizers, but this one seems to take it up a notch and that’s why I’m so eager to try it ASAP. In fact, Amazon shoppers are also obsessed with the famous Glotion, noting it’s so “magical” that they’ll “never go without it again;” plus, it’s been deemed “as good as the most expensive on the market.” I’m basically sold, and at $13 a tube, I really don’t see any reason not to try it.
