NCIS has been a TV staple for more than 20 years, and the series has launched a slew of spinoffs since it first premiered as a spinoff itself from the show JAG in 2003.
The franchise follows various branches of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, and it recently expanded to go international.
With such a rich universe of beloved characters, action and crime-fighting, it can be tricky to keep track of all of the NCIS spinoffs—one of which even almost had a spinoff of itself. Here's your guide to the entire NCIS franchise and how to watch NCIS and its spinoffs.

How to Watch Every NCIS Spinoff Show
NCIS
The old gold standard, NCIS focuses on the Naval Criminal Investigative Service's Major Case Response Team in Washington, D.C. Mark Harmon starred from Seasons 1 to 19 as Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, supervising a team that also included Pauley Perrette as pigtailed forensic specialist Abby Sciuto, Michael Weatherly as NCIS Senior Field Agent Anthony DiNozzo, Cote de Pablo as NCIS Special Agent Ziva David and Wilmer Valderrama as NCIS Special Agent Nicholas Torres, among others.
Harmon left the series during Season 19, leading Gary Cole to step in and fill his shoes as NCIS Supervisory Special Agent Alden Parker.
Where to watch NCIS: NCIS is available to stream on FuboTV, Philo and Paramount+. You can also stream the first season on Netflix.
Though delayed because the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, when it returns, you can watch new episodes of NCIS on CBS on Monday nights at 9 p.m. ET. In the meantime, you can watch re-runs on USA Network (check your local listings for re-airing dates and times).

NCIS: Los Angeles
The first NCIS spinoff, NCIS: Los Angeles, premiered in 2009. The series starred rapper LL Cool J as Sam Hanna and Chris O'Donnell as Grisha Callen, two undercover agents for the NCIS Office of Special Projects.
NCIS: Los Angeles was a fan-favorite spinoff and lasted an impressive 14 seasons before wrapping, airing its series finale in May 2023.
A proposed spinoff of NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: Red, aired two pilots episodes in 2013, but wasn't picked up for a full series order.

NCIS: New Orleans
Scott Bakula starred as Supervisory Special Agent Dwayne Cassius Pride in NCIS: New Orleans, which ran for seven seasons from 2014 to November 2020. It was the very first NCIS series in the franchise to end.

NCIS: Hawai'i
When she isn't hosting Netflix dating shows and their reunions, Vanessa Lachey stars as Special Agent Jane Tennant in NCIS: Hawai'i. The series premiered in 2021 and enjoyed some crossover episodes with NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles.
Season 2 aired its finale in May 2023, and a third season of the series has been greenlit, though production may be delayed because of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
How to watch NCIS: Hawai'i: When new episodes drop, NCIS: Hawai'i is expected to keep airing in its 10 p.m. ET Monday timeslot immediately following NCIS. Stream NCIS: Hawai'i on Paramount+ and FuboTV.

NCIS: Sydney
The latest NCIS iteration is NCIS: Sydney, taking place in the Land Down Under.
How to watch NCIS: Sydney: The series will premiere on CBS on Nov. 14, 2023, at 8 p.m. ET. You will be able to stream episodes live on Paramount+ with Showtime or watch next-day on Paramount+.
