While the VMAs have long been synonymous with some of Hollywood's most memorable and experimental red-carpet looks (see: Lady Gaga's iconic meat dress), the show has also been the site for some unforgettable dynamite live performances (see: Britney Spears's snake choreography of "I'm a Slave 4 U" more than two decades ago).
This year's hosts are Nicki Minaj, LL Cool J, and Jack Harlow, and viewers can expect stars like Bad Bunny, Blackpink, Lizzo, Anitta, and more to take the stage tonight. The ceremony, which is taking place this year at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, will officially commence at 8 p.m. ET on MTV.
