Every New York Fashion Week Event That's Open to the Public
Come on in!
New York Fashion Week officially kicks off this week, which means swarms of models, stylists, influencers, creatives, editors and other general multi-hyphenates are getting ready to touch down in the Big Apple, armed with colorful puffers and plaid pants. But just because you don't have a front-row seat to all the shows doesn't mean you can't partake in all the NYFW fun.
So, to make sure you all are included in this season's festivities, we've rounded up some fashion-focused events that are open to the public. From interactive panels led by top designers to gatherings focused on embracing diversity and sustainability in the industry, read on for all the details.
MICHAEL Michael Kors Experiential Pop-Up
Wednesday, Feb. 6, 12 -8 p.m.

Michael Kors is celebrating the launch of its MICHAEL Michael Kors Spring 2019 campaign by hosting an Instagram-friendly pop-up at the Dolby Soho. Spread across multiple exhibits, the event immerses guests in the videos, images and music of the MICHAEL Michael Kors Spring 2019 campaign, which was shot by David Sims and stars Bella Hadid. Each room in the Dolby space provides ample #content opportunities: There's an "Infinity Space" with a very flattering camera that'll make you feel like you're starring in your own ad campaign, a studio containing a trampoline and a branded MK swing and see-saw.
Influencers Unscripted: Luxury, Lifestyle and Loyal
Wednesday, Feb. 6, 5:30-9:30 p.m.

Fashion Mingle, a networking platform for people who work in the fashion industry, is teaming up with the American Influencer Association to hold a panel discussion and cocktail party on how influencers can build and maintain meaningful relationships with brands. Real Fashion With Julie Gilhart: Embracing Racial Diversity In The Industry

The RealReal is celebrating Black History Month by teaming up with Julie Gilhart, the former VP Fashion Director at Barneys, to host a discussion centered on embracing racial diversity in the fashion industry. This conversation will be led by Gilhart and will feature designer Victor Glemaud and former model, agent and advocate Bethann Hardison. RSVP here.

To celebrate the launch of its Spring 2019 collection, Happy Socks is hosting a month-long, motel-themed pop-up, complete with uniformed bell boys and a revolving set of suites. The pop-up, dubbed "Hysteria Inn," will host events every Thursday, where guests will be treated to drinks, hors 'd'oeuvres and exclusive gifts containing travel essentials.
NYFW Bumble Hive Activation
Friday, Feb. 8- Thursday, Feb. 14, 11 a.m.- 6 p.m.
Artists & Fleas, 568 Broadway at Prince St.
Bumble teamed up with @newyorkster and @girlandthebay to create a relaxation and recharge center during NYFW. Dubbed "The Bumble Hive," the lounge will offer guests exclusive access to experiential art installations, hair and makeup touch-ups, emerging designers, photo opportunities and a safe space to relax. WWD Style Dimension

WWD editors will give attendees a behind-the-scenes look into the minds of the most well-respected names in fashion through a series of discussions with designers, influencers and stylists. Esteemed fashion guests will include: Rebecca Minkoff, Micaela Erlanger, Laura Kim, Fernando Garcia and Jason Rembert. During these interactive panels, guests will learn about red carpet styling and how to make social media a meaningful part of a brand. Women of Color FashTech Brunch

Women in fashion, technology and media will gather to celebrate diversity and discuss the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead for women of color in their respective fields. Tickets range from $75 to $95 and include a three-course lunch, cocktails, access to the panel discussion, networking opportunities and a swag bag.
