Everyone Has Something to Say About Amber Rose Letting Her Son Get His Nails Done
Amber Rose isn’t one to be shaken up easily when it comes to her public perception, but with the latest social media attack on her son, we certainly wouldn’t blame her for being extra sensitive about it this time around. The talk-show host recently shared a cute video of her and her son, 3-year-old Sebastian, getting their nails done at a salon. Shockingly, the adorable bonding moment was not received well by fans, who reacted pretty harshly.
In the video posted to Amber’s Instagram account, she asks her son, “Hey, pumpkin, are you excited to get a pedicure and a manicure?” to which he excitedly exclaims, “Yeah!” See the full video of the mother-son bonding experience below:

To push forward the point that she’s raising her son, whom she shares with Wiz Khalifa, to ignore strict gender roles, Amber captioned the video, “Pumpkin nails with Mr Skully Bones????#HalloweenisNeverOveratOurHouse We encourage our children to paint, draw and be creative, so why block them from their creativity when it comes to self expression? F*** society standards and gender roles! Let your children be great!”
However, she was swiftly attacked with homophobic remarks in the comments section of her post, with people writing things like “Who raised this woman? Bash will be gay!” and “making your child paint his nails like he was a girl, you gone f*** up his childhood” on the video.
On the contrary, a few people jumped to Amber’s defense on Twitter. See some of their responses, below:
I love how smart Amber Rose teaches her son to be. He talks like an intelligent adult. I love it, he is too cute.

Considering the fact that Sebastian is so incredibly young and clearly a child who enjoys hanging out with his parents, a manicure and pedicure certainly doesn’t appear to be a huge deal. A simple manicure at 3 years old isn’t going to affect his sexuality as an adult, and if a trip to the salon is something the pair enjoy doing together, more power to them. No matter how you feel about the issue, we can all agree that spending time with your child is an important part of parenting — even if that means bringing your son along for a quick mani.
