Everyone’s Favorite Celebrities Are Obsessed With Pimple Cream Selfies
Zits, pimples, acne. However you want to label it, these inflamed, superannoying little (or sometimes big) lesions that commonly pop up on the face are something just about everyone has experienced at one point or another. And celebrities are no exception.
Even though they have access to some of the most amazing dermatologists and skin care products in the world, celebrities also experience impromptu breakouts. But they aren’t trying to hide it. In fact, several of our favorite stars are sharing their experiences on social media by showing off their pimple cream selfies.
On Tuesday night, actress Ashley Benson shared a selfie from bed, cuddled up with a teddy bear with acne treatment cream sporadically scattered on her forehead, nose, and upper lip. Not too long ago, Yahoo Beauty reported the Pretty Little Liars star opening up about acne issues by admitting, “It can be really uncomfortable, and can make you super-insecure and want to stay in your house all day — which I have done before.”
Benson recently became one of the ambassadors for OTC acne medication, Differin, and more than likely that’s what she used here for her zit cream-filled Instagram photo.

While fans of Benson love how open and honest she is about dealing with acne, she’s not the first celebrity to reveal that stars are just like us and treat their pimples, too. While we are used to seeing most of them all glammed up with clear glowing skin, everything isn’t always so glamorous all the time. Everyone from Miley Cyrus to Bella Thorne has shown off her pimple-cream-dotted selfies unapologetically. Scroll along, see for yourself, and don’t be surprised if you also get inspired to join the pimple cream selfie parade.
Benson’s recent shot wasn’t her first go-round with showing off how she tackles acne breakouts. Back in 2015, she shared an Instagram photo all dotted up that read, “It’s the new trend.”

Some would call Bella Thorne a blooming beauty chameleon of sorts for all the different hair colors she isn’t afraid to try. Thorne also isn’t afraid to show her face full of pimple cream while lying under bouquets of roses.
Miley Cyrus has opened up about her acne time and time again. In 2016, she shared a video while writing a song and doing what she likes to call “zit creaminnn!”

Mindy Kaling doesn’t seem to be a huge fan of “that zit cream in your 30s life.” But it looks like she is embracing it.
That zit cream in your 30's life. At least I'm not going on the Tonight Show later today. ????

Katy Perry showed off a full face of treatment cream, making a joke that it was her real life Facetune go-to.

Tavi Gevinson took a laid-back selfie showing off her spot treatment experience, jokingly noting, “Highly recommend the new yayoi kausama. They just installed on the upper west side of my face.”

If you squint your eyes hard enough and direct them to Lorde’s cheek and chin area, you’ll notice that she, too, is an avid acne cream user.
