Here’s the Exact Shadow Palette Lupita Nyong’o Slayed Last Night’s ‘Black Panther’ Premiere In
The cast of Black Panther shut down the red carpet for the film’s LA premiere just a few weeks back week with its jaw-dropping style, and they’re not quite done yet — far from. Lupita Nyong’O, who plays Nakia in the upcoming film, showed up to last night’s London showing in a look that was out of this world.
The Oscar-winner glowed from head-to-toe glow in a black Balmain gown, which featured a plunging neckline and a thigh-high slit.
She didn’t slouch in the hair and makeup departments, either: The 34-year-old, who proudly rocks her natural tresses, completed her otherworldly look with what longtime stylist Vernon Francois dubbed a “fro ponytail” updo style that was pure genius.
As for her makeup, artist Nick Barose completed the intergalactic look with an eye-catching, electric blue eyeshadow by “running [it] all the way up to brow bones and wing[ing] it out can give a sense of danger and mystique. The MUA shared his technique via Instagram, noting that he used the Lancome Color Design Palette in Midnight Rush ($50) to get the desired effect. Specifically, “I layered blue underneath black underneath grey to create the rich tone that look[s] different when the light hits it.” (Again, pure genius.)
